14. Powers Bluff - Arpin: Powers Bluff is a worn down peak of an ancient mountain range which once covered northern Wisconsin. It is comprised almost entirely of solid quartzite, and the highest point of elevation in Wood County. 70 acres of the park is a designated State Natural Area that features a 1.5 mile nature trail. There are 6 miles of mountain bike trails, and 3 miles of multi-use trails being constructed in 2022-2023. Some of the winter activity highlights of the park include downhill skiing, tubing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and single track hiking and biking trails.
15. Standing Rocks - Stevens Point: Cross country ski trail are open on a daily basis throughout the snow season. There are approximately 15km (10 mi) of trails. About 75% of the trails are rated as intermediate or expert trails because of the many hills and distances. Trails are groomed for both diagonal stride and skate skiing. Downhill skiing is available every weekend throughout the snow season and weekdays during the Christmas holiday season (weather dependent), except for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Head out to the hill and enjoy some good old-fashioned winter fun. The friendliest of all the hills! Dubbed after the original namesake of our resort, this run is the first stop for newbies. This hill is filled with beginner terrain that’s easy to navigate. Experienced skiiers will enjoy Frieda's Run. Take a leisurely ride to the bottom of the hill. Named after the owner’s beloved mother, this beginner’s run offers multiple fall lines and the best snow on the hill.
