Loveland is the closest major ski area to Denver, and has provided skiing exhilaration for over 60 years. Located in the Arapahoe National Forest on the Continental Divide along I-70 just east of the Eisenhower Tunnel, it is easily accessible.

Prime powder, well-groomed runs and bowls provide super skiing. Short lift lines at the nine lifts to 70 trails over 830 acres of fantastic snow and 2,410 feet of slope provides skiing adventure to please anyone.

Loveland is high, with a base elevation at nearly 10,600 feet, and much of the terrain is above timberline. When conditions permit, high ridges above the chairlifts are opened to expert-level chutes and bowls with descents from 12,000 feet.

Loveland is a family ski area and their SkiWee junior program is great for kids, and there is a day care facility for kids 1-3. A sport shop with skis and clothing is at the base along with convenient restaurants with reasonably priced meals.

Lodging, shopping and more restaurants are nearby in Georgetown, Dillion and Silverthrone where there is a lot of factory outlet stores.

Loveland is 56 miles west of Denver, an easy 45 minute drive via I-70.
