Located approximately 100 miles West of Denver along I-70. An average annual snowfall of 331 Inches combined with an elevation of 11,400 ft., vertical Drop of 4040 Feet and skiable Terrain over 1529 acres of 146 skiable trails with 14 lifts and a lift capacity of 23,739 makes for outstanding skiing.

There are 19 groomed miles of cross country trails with overnight on-trail lodging available. A participatory torchlight ski-down is held weekly on Thursday nights.

Additional activities are wide and varied including snowcat rides, sleigh rides, dog sledding, ice skating, snowmobiling, sleigh rides, whirlpool, sauna, and massage.

There are huge numbers of lodging options in the Vail Valley, including bed and breakfast, a range of hotels, and condominium apartments. Those in search of the most economical accommodations should look at properties in East and West Vail, and the nearby town of Avon.
